How to editing Panasonic SD800 AVCHD MTS/M2TS in FCP?

These days my friend got a new SD800 camcorder and he asked me how to edit SD800 AVCHD videos in FCP. As a camcorder fan, I told him many tips to use camcorder and editing software, and give him an excellent conversion software—Pavtube Video Converter for Mac, which can convert SD800 AVCHD to ProRes for editing in FCP.

With SD800 Video Converter for Mac, you can Convert HDC-SD800 AVCHD files to ProRes for editing in FCP. This video converter supports auto de-interlacing and batch conversion, enables you to keep 16:9 wide screen aspect rations. Below are some guides for you.

Step 1. Import Panasonic SD800 AVCHD footages to the SD800 Video Converter for Mac.
Download, Install and run Pavtube AVCHD to ProRes Converter, click “Add” button and import Panasonic AVCHD footages to the software, you may load multiple Panasonic SD800 MTS/M2TS files to the program at a time.

Step 3. If you want to change the output video’s parameters, you can click settings button. You can click “Settings” and customize advanced audio and video parameters. For Panasonic SD800 AVCHD to FCP conversion, you are suggested to set video “Size” to “original”. You can cut the size down by setting a smaller video bitrate or frame rate.

Step 4. Convert Panasonic SD800 AVCHD Footage to ProRes for FCP or Convert Panasonic SD800 AVCHD files to any other formats as you want.
